Stress and Anxiety

Is your life an ever ending stream of anxious thoughts?  Do you feel alone and overwhelmed at times at how to manage them? Is your life full of worry about the future and anxiety that never seems to end?

How has this affected your life?

Would you like to make changes but have no idea where to start?

I can relate!

Anxiety is at an all time high.  Due to the current state of our world, stress and worry over an uncertain future  has mental health needs greater than perhaps ever before.

If you’ve been thinking about trying counseling or considering change in your life but not sure if now is the time to start, now is the time to start.

Through counseling and individual coaching or support groups, together we will talk about your concerns and problems. I’ll offer solutions for how to turn those “problems” into opportunities for change.  Problems are the stories you have in your head about why you’re not enough.  It’s a vicious cycle of blame, shame and beating yourself up for not being perfect.

The good news is YOU ARE NOT YOUR ANXIETY and you are certainly not the anxious thoughts you tell yourself over and over again!

I steer clear of labels as they have limits and should not be imposed upon us for the sake of getting reimbursed by insurance or to get a prescription. We can explore if your anxiety is linked to being a highly sensitive person, a trait in 15-20% of the population and common in people who experience high levels of anxious thoughts and stress.

Through self assessment you will learn strategies to get unstuck, be with what’s so without drama, , manage stress effectively, and develop power over that which you think you have no control over.  Together we will explore and navigate how the meaning you give to things has a profound effect on your direction. Stress in life is inevitable; it’s our reactions to events over which we have a say.

Mindfulness-based approaches to personal & professional development and wellness are the leading edge of success technology. The scientific basis is now clear for the powerful benefits of mindfulness techniques. Using such tools creates greater calmness and mental flexibility, enhanced creativity, enhanced relationships, effective leadership, improved mood, greater stress resilience & coping, and even a strengthened immune system. Lastly…don’t forget to breathe!

“Stress is caused by being ‘here’ but wanting to be ‘there.’
– Eckhart Tolle
